Re: Copy or move an image file from Ubuntu to Windows?
If the Windows guest disk(s) are in the guest folder along with the guest .vbox file, then simply copying the guest folder with all files therein to the Windows host should be all that is required. Be sure the Guest Additions CD image and all other CD images are ejected from the guest before copying. Do the copy, then double-click the guest .vbox file to register the guest.
If the guest disks are outside the guest folder, then absolute paths to the disk files are stored in the guest .vbox file. And Linux paths are different than Windows paths. If your guest disks are outside the fguest folder, let us know. Should be easy to fix.

Re: Copy or move an image file from Ubuntu to Windows?
Thanks for the answer.
I managed to find the guest-files in ubuntu and made a new network connection to my NAS where i copied the folder. Then downloaded to my windows host and it worked
I was not aware that we can use the files directly on both OS's. Actualle i thought i had to make an image with Acronis or AOMei and then restore to the windows machine.
But this was of cource much easier.....
