Closing a dialog closes Virtualbox

Post by DeGarcen »

Go to "File > Virtual Media Manager... > Optical disks" . Then click on the X instead of Cancel, it will close Virtualbox also. Desktops apps never do this, the X is to close the belonging window only, not the entire software.

Go to Help » About VirtualBox. Copy/Paste that info.

You posted on Linux Hosts. But you didn't tell us your distro/version/kernel. Could you?

Yeah, no kidding... ;)

I would hope that the OP is not opening multiple topics to discuss the same problem.

No, it's not the same thing, the source of the problem is though. An attempt to run VirtualBox on an unsupported OS with the wrong VirtualBox package.
