remaining vbox loading error messages at startup after uninstall

Postby bernardT » 11. Aug 2019, 22:07

Having tried to install Virtual Box 6 both using yum install and downloading rpm from this website on a Centos 7.6 machine
Having issues at install installing vbox stuff even after having desactivated in BIOS the secure boot as mentionned in several posts seen here and in anoter technical websites.

Then, I have uninstalled virtualbox completely but even after, at startup, I carry on having errors messages like this ones in journalctl
Aug 11 23:37:25 deepcore-l systemd-modules-load[154]: Failed to insert 'vboxdrv': Required key not available
Aug 11 23:37:25 deepcore-l systemd-modules-load[154]: Failed to insert 'vboxnetflt': Required key not available
Aug 11 23:37:25 deepcore-l systemd-modules-load[154]: Failed to insert 'vboxnetadp': Required key not available
Aug 11 23:37:25 deepcore-l systemd-modules-load[154]: Failed to find module 'vboxpci'

What I have to do, in which way to remove these errors messages ?

Seems to me like this is a message from Secure Boot. Have you looked for similar CentOS messages? Searching for "centos Failed to insert Required key not available" returns a lot of hits.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
