Slow startup for Linux Mint Cinnamon

Post by Leloup78 »

Bonjour,

It seems to me. Since I expanded the memory space for guest, the PC startup is slower. I have to wait more than two and a half minutes.
2mn30' startup, is-it acceptable for you?
Do you have an idea what can be the relation between the disk memory space increasing and the startup slowdown? :?:
Do I have forgotten something?
How to fix this problem?

Regards,

I did some tests:
Host is Win7. The BIOS start time is around 15s. The Win7 start time is 15s.

Guest is Linux Mint Mate 18.2. The start time is 1mn and 30s.
Guest is Linux Mint Cinnamon 19. The start time is 1mn and 25s.
Guest is Linux Mint XFCE 19. The start time is 1mn and 35s.
Guest is Linux Ubuntu 18.10. The start time is 1mn and 10s.
Guest is Linux Debian 8.7. The start time is 25s.
to be compared with
Guest is Linux Mint Cinnamon 18.3. The start time is 2mn and 35s.
