Post by Gutchi »

Hello,

As the title say, I have a Windows 7 guest machine, and after a few time it freeze, i check the perf of the VM it's seem ok, not all the ram is used (it have 2GB), the cpu usage is at 1%, and nothing move on the VM. I have to reset it, and after a few time it freeze again.

I'm on Linux Mint 19, VirtualBox 5.2.18, the guest additions are installed. I have other VM one Linux, and it never appends.

When the freeze append i have just this lines in the log:

Code: Select all

00:00:56.149558 RTC: period=0x200 (512) 64 Hz
01:26:49.272165 RTC: period=0x20 (32) 1024 Hz
01:26:49.630543 RTC: period=0x200 (512) 64 Hz
01:26:50.366023 RTC: period=0x20 (32) 1024 Hz
01:26:50.631206 RTC: period=0x200 (512) 64 Hz

Any of you known how to fix it?

We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run:
  • Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe error / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
  • With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
  • Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
