Cant install nor uninstall on Linux Mint

Hello there,

I just recently switched to linux, but realized too late that I need photoshop here and there (GIMP won't do it), so I decided to go with a windows vm, but had some troubles installing. Here's what I did so far:

1) Downloaded for AMD64 for Ubuntu 18.04 (Mint is a flavour of Ubuntu)
2) Installed the .deb by clicking on it
3) Opened Virtualbox
4) Selected the windows .iso and made several other configurations (changed drag-and-drop settings, etc.)
5) Tried to start the VM, but got "rc=-1908" error
6) Researched about error and found out that this error happens when not installing correctly
7) Tried running sudo /sbin/vboxconfig as suggested as normal user and as root
8. Got same error
9)Tried uninstalling several different ways, but got the error that virtualbox wasn't installed.
10) Came here

I installed it in linux mint 19 using the software manager and it worked fine, I would try that instead of using the ubuntu 18.04 version and downloading it separately.
