I have a problem when using virtualbox, the dialog will change to a small one after the system start, as the follow picture shows

I assume that "the dialog" is the VM window. It can happen if you shut down the host while a VM was minimized.
As for the fix, it seems to me that your little screenshot is showing a grabbable/resizable frame?

What if you:
- Resize the window? Even maximize it?
- Press HostKey+A to auto-resize it? Or go to the menu "View" » "Adjust Window Size"?

i3wm? You should have mentioned that part from the beginning... Developers (from what I've heard) aren't particularly fond of self-arranging, self-resizing window managers, they have the tendency to cause ... issues, just like yoursiceamber wrote:I didn't config it well in i3wm

I use i3 just for fun, it'll work well if doesn't set the window to floating
