Need more disk space in guest OS

Post by ChuckCrisler »

I have Fedora 25 as my host, Windows 10 as a guest and VirtualBox 5.2.12. I didn't boot Windows for a long time but want to now. It needs to load a log of updated and says that it needs 10 GB. Currently it has 30 GB actual and 120 GB virtual allocated. I had 2 snapshots. Using the VB manager, I deleted the second snapshot first and am deleting the first now. I have been reading other posts and answers about this topic and I don't know if they apply to my case. Will I need to do anything further to the VM to add the extra space, or will I need to make changes to Windows now?

Thank you,

Please read the FAQ: How to resize a Virtual Drive. Pay special attention to 1) the existence of snapshots, 2) step 2 in the FAQ.
