Hey guys, just to clarify, I am 100% up to date on my Virtualbox install, in fact it updated less than an hour ago.
Anyways, when I attempt to install Windows 10 64-bit, it fails before the install begins as far as I can tell. It prompts me for a "Missing Media Driver" that my PC needs, but obviously I don't have it.
I find it hard to believe that this is a corrupt iso file, since I downloaded it from the official source... and then redownloaded it to be absolutely sure that it wasn't corrupt. Obviously, it could be that since a second download doesn't necessarily mean it isn't corrupt twice, but my internet is very slow and it can take up to 8 hours to finish the download, so I want to minimize the number of downloads I do.
Does anyone know what could be happening here?
Edit: I saw the other post on this board about this, but I don't think that my download is bad, but I also couldn't find a hash to test against, so I can't 100% verify it.

What's the *exact* title of the ISO that you downloaded and the *exact* number of bytes? I could give you the MD5 or the SHA1 checksums for a couple of them that I have...
I guess I need to download the 1809 one that just came out as well...-rwxrwxrwx 1 socratis staff 4704262144 15 Mar 2018 Win10_1709_EnglishInternational_x64.iso -rwxrwxrwx 1 socratis staff 4694192128 7 May 01:32 Win10_1803_EnglishInternational_x64.iso -rwxrwxrwx 1 socratis staff 4692365312 17 Jun 03:47 Win10_1803_English_x64.iso

You'll have to wait a couple of hours I'm afraid. At least for me to give you an answer, someone else might already have that. As luck would have it, I'm trying to download the exact same file, but I'm updating my Win10-1607 VM to 1809 as well, which makes my internet connection seem slower than molasses in the Arctic circle in the winter...
I can tell you one thing right now; your ISO doesn't seem to have the correct size. 3808002048 bytes = 3.55 GB. And my Firefox tells me that it downloads a 4.5 GB file, that's a 1 GB larger than what you have. It doesn't look good...

"Missing Media Driver" is a very typical error for a broken download / corrupt DVD ISO.

Finally, turns out that it was either lying, or that I got a corrupt download?socratis wrote:And my Firefox tells me that it downloads a 4.5 GB file
I honestly don't know what's going on. I simply consider it completely inappropriate that MS doesn't provide a mechanism to verify the downloaded ISO with an MD5/SHA checksum.-rwxrwxrwx 1 socratis staff 3698822714 4 Oct 11:17 Win10_1809_English_x64.iso
There's no point to give you the SHA checksum since the two files are fundamentally different in their size. I'm going to download it again, see what I get this time...
Edit: It *was* a corrupt download! Damn it Microsoft, come on... |

They seem to have an unacceptable amount of bad downloads...

This time it seems that it worked... Here's the SHA1, SHA256 and MD5 checksums:
