Does VirtualBox use SWAP on Linux hosts? Few minutes ago I noticed that one of my VMs crashed on OOM killer despite I actually have only 600 mb out of 20GB SWAP space used. Machine has 32gb RAM and VMs have slightly overprovisioned RAM (VMs ram amount sums to 34GB or something around that).
Considering that on KVM host I have 8GB RAM, 24GB SWAP and overprovisioned 32GB of RAM to VMs and never experienced such issue It makes me wonder a bit if there's maybe something wrong with my VirtualBox host config. I use KVM paravirtualization for VMs in VirtualBox.
