Using Virtual Box on RHEL7 extremely slow

Post by bwfreas »

having an issue with virtual box thats running on RHEL7 (have tried it on physical server and a RHEL VM as well for troubleshooting purposes). When accessing it directly via the console/serial/gui viewer of the RHEL server, VBox is fast and responsive but when accessing the RHEL server via ssh session and then launching VBox is extremely sluggish. Can anyone fill me in on what I might be missing here? I have installed and used VBox on physical RHEL servers in the past and not had any issues.

Thanks

Is this the same issue as the second half of the virtualbox slow as molasses? thread?

thank you and yes it is - after picking my head up and looking around I started to think perhaps this thread was more appropriate for it to go anyway as it was more targeted to my situation and it may hit a different crowd here. Apologies for the duplicate thread however I am at a stand still as I have exhausted my own personal experience and available resources found online so I am leaning on the expertise found here in these forums
