I have two Ubuntu (production) guests that work perfectly from the CLI (with --headless). Tried to add another guest and while I can Machine/Add, when I try to Start it to load the OS, I get the:
I have ran: /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup but made no difference.Failed to open a session for the virtual machine PROD-Regress.
The virtual machine 'PROD-Regress' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1).
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
I read the response to viewtopic.php?f=7&t=87161 but I am not sure it is applicable in my case as my instance of VBox works perfectly from CLI.
1) Has anyone encountered this? I would have thought that if the issue is kernel drivers or mismatch, it would be applicable in both the GUI and CLI operation. Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix it?
2) If this is a matter of VBox version, I can update to 5.01. Is there any special care I need to take (Clone, Export) to ensure that my working, headless guests will work on 5.01 aside from my existing already folder copies?
3) If this is a GUI issue, would be ultra cool to be able to add a guest and load OS from CLI.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
