No system shortcuts are grabbed Ubuntu17.10

Post by reiko »

I am using virtualbox 5.2.6 r120293.
While i was using host Ubuntu 17.04 all was working well.
After upgrade to 17.10, no shortcut is being grabbed into the guest os.
I am talking about the 'windows key', 'alt+tab' and so on.
I tried fresh installation where I purged the installation and installed it once more.
Autocapture for keyboard is turned on.

So, what does pressing "WinKey" or "Alt+Tab" do?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

It is always used in the host OS. It shows Activity overview in host OS and switches between opened applications as it should.
But same happens even if the keyboard is captured in the guest OS
My bad it looks like it is a problem of the Host as soon I have chnaged the shortcut for switching applications in Host (super+tab),
alt+tab works in guest OS. But I still don't know why.

I am having the same issue after upgrading from Ubuntu 17.04 to 17.10. With the Windows 10 guest capturing input win+tab and win-m are executed in the host. I am using the latest VirtualBox version 5.2.6 before and after the upgrade so it appears to be related to 17.10.
