Hello,

I am trying to DL VB on my computer, but when i go to the install page for Linux I click "All other distributions", and when I do, it takes me to a page with a bunch of code on it. It does not download VB. What is going on? I don't believe I have the other versions that are listed, but I can download some of those.

Can someone help?

I tried to use the terminal commands, but gets so complicated that I get lost and don't know what to do.

Appreciated

Allen

  1. You don't need to download the ".run" (generic) version, you need the Ubuntu 16.04 version. Mint 18.1 is based on Ubuntu 16.04, see the release notes.
  2. Even if you wanted to download the generic version, you should download it by right-clicking, save. Or let the whole thing load in your browser (not suggested) and save it. You then make it executable and run it. But as I said, you don't need that generic version, there is a specific version for Mint 18.1.
