trying to install 5.2

Ive a 5.1 vbox installed, I would like to install 5.2. Downloaded the .deb file and rand

what I get is

dpkg: regarding virtualbox-5.2_5.2.0-118431-Debian-wheezy_amd64.deb containing virtualbox-5.2:
 virtualbox-5.2 conflicts with virtualbox
  virtualbox-5.1 provides virtualbox and is present and installed.

When I ran 5.1 updates never had this problem, does this means I must remove 5.1 and install a clean 5.2 release?

Yes. It is not uncommon to need to remove previous versions when a major upgrade is released. Your guests will still be available.
