(I'm a n00b).
I have 16GB USB stick. I installed here 2 live Linux distros using Virtual box. Which created 2 .VMDK files. In the beginning each file had like 4 - 6 GB. And everything was OK, as I had free 4 GB on USB stick.
But after a while these VMDK files started to increase in their size. Until they filled full capacity of 16GB USB (about 1 week). Now I'm at the point, where these 2 OS doesn't even start through Virtualbox. I just get "Disc full" error.
What did I do wrong? I will format my USB and install these 2 Linux again (I'm not trying to save current files). But I'm afraid, that it will happen again. They will again start increasing in size until they won't even boot.

Re: Increasing size of VMDK files until crash
Why did you select vmdk instead of leaving it to the default vdi?
Anyway 16GB is too small for a single distro OS so two will fill up faster. You can always use fixed disk instead of dynamic so you can lock the OS to a specific size but this too will fail at some point.
