Virtualbox Incorrect Keyboard Mapping

Post by oguruma »

Virtualbox 5.1 installed on a Vanilla Debian Jessie with XFCE desktop. When attempting to input into the fields to create a new Vbox, the inputs are all wrong r=f, v=u, etc. No issues with inputs with any other programs, just virtualbox.

I tried re-installing virtualbox, as well as re-installing Debian, then re-instaling Vbox, but the issue persists.

Are you physically in the computer or are you remotely viewing it?
See if this can help: [SOLVED] very strange HOST keyboard problem.
