Hello !
I am using Virtualbox on a linux host with a ZFS filesystem, which's recordsize can
be software defined. What would be the optimal recordsize, probably even for
different client usage??
Thanks anyway,
Manfred
Which device blocksize on hostdrive for optimal client performance?

4K is probably best.

Hi !
Thanks for your reply.
this, it allows much larger record sizes.
For use with ZFS, 4k is the worst case. perf starts a little with 8k, but better
would be 64k oder 128 k ...

Manfred
Thanks for your reply.
This is not, what I've expected - linux supports huge-pages since a long time and withmpack wrote:4K is probably best.
