xfreerdp stops remote screen fullness [SOLVED]

Post by bluegroper »

Hi forum
xfreerdp stops remote screen fullness
I'm using VirtualBox 5.0.20 on a CentOS 6 host. ExtensionPack installed.
Win7 guest running across dual monitors in Full Screen mode. GuestAdditions installed. CentOS is completely out of sight.
Works nicely.
I can connect to the CentOS VirtualBox host from another Linux host using xfreerdp and see the primary Windows screen remotely.
BUT when viewing remotely, VirtualBox drops out of FullScreen, and puts a black border around the primary window.
Any clues for how to fix ?
TIA's

Solution is simple.
Using the xfreerdp command, make sure the screen resolution parameters exactly match the target, so that no rescaling needed, eg
xfreerdp -g 1280x1024 .... etc

Perfect.
