I have host os ubuntu 16
when I install guest os ubuntu 14 all ok, cursor has no offset
when I install guest os ubuntu 16 then I have cursor offset
for example if I click on text line the cursor display on upper line
how can I fix it?

I believe I saw someone else reporting a similar behavior just recently, I just can't seem to find it right now. You should search for it.

Try to search for "cursor offset linux site:virtualbox.org". I came up with ticket #15324 which is fixed in 5.1.6.
BTW, I assumed (wrongly maybe) that you are using the official VirtualBox version (https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads) and not the VirtualBox that is in the Ubuntu Software Center. If you're using the latter, uninstall it and install the official VirtualBox.

yes I have virtualbox from ppa
as I understand I can't run guest os which was created in virtualbox from ppa ?

As I said, install the official VirtualBox. You will be able to continue to use your guest just fine.
