Didn't know I never use aptitude, just CLI. I don't have any more to contribute. All I know is if you are receiving the same error it is because the old modules are still in the host.

Ok,thanks.But is it normal:

Code: Select all

sudo /sbin/vboxconfig
vboxdrv.sh: Starting VirtualBox services.
It seems like can't start?

Hard to say without more data. You say that when you try to start a guest after all of this it gives you the exact same error as from the start. That is not normal and is dealt with by removing the old package. That said the issue you are having is really a host OS issue, unless you built your own version of VirtualBox. That is the only way you would have an OSE version.
