Scanner/ printer not appearing in VB

I attach the log. (WinXP)

The printer/ scanner is showing in the USB device filters.

I, the sole user, am a member of Vboxusers

Host is Ubuntugnome 14.04

I have just re-run the Brother MFL-Pro suite installation and when it gets to the plug in the USB cable, I can not get further with the installation as the usb cable is not being recognised.

What do think is the cause of Version 5.0.10 r104061 not showing a printer is installed in WinXP and therefore no printer icon is showing?

Sambashare is the last one in the uid list but I have checked again and my name is ticked in group ID 131 for vboxusers.

Permissions do not change until you log off and back on or in some cases a reboot is needed.
Did you log off and on or reboot the host? According to the OS you may be in the group but the OS does not recognize it.

I have it working now.

The reboot helped a lot, but I also uninstalled the printer software in VB and re-installed and it worked! Thanks.
