I'm running a virtualbox on an Ubuntu 14.10 host, with a Windows 7 guest.
The odd thing is that I start it up headless with a script, cause I only access it over RDP or Teamviewer; it's a simple server that does nothing really, and yet it still uses like 80-90 percent of the cpu.
I'm running XFCE.
I got a really powerful radeon card in that computer and it's a Xeon cpu, so there's something else wrong here.
Any pointers as to what I can try, before I give all the specs and details?

Windows update and or indexing are the usual culprits.
