Hey everyone,
Recently I've been trying to set up a MS-DOS guest machine on a Linux host.
The machine was given to me as a *.GHO Image and was converted to a VMDK using the ghost32 utility.
I have been trying since then to make it work on a Linux host, and for some reason It just won't ...
It simply fails to boot from the HD... I've been trying exporting as an OVA(Using a Windows host- discussed in a moment), Converting to VDI and VHD.
Nothing works... It all comes down to "no medium found..." or another type of failure using the OVA wizard...
But when I connected it to a windows host, No matter the method - it worked perfectly... I tried some hard drive manipulations... compacting it, checking for errors, ETC...
But nothing seems to work out...
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Look into a simple copy and add. Eliminates a lot of steps that can and do cause problems.
