Post by homipc »

I have server (Ubuntu 14.04) with 6 virtuals (WinXP and Win7), Virtualbox 4.3.30 I can connect from server, workstaions via LAN,WAN,wifi or from mobile,no problem. Now I installed my first Win10 workstation a now I cannot connect to this virtuals from win10. I deactivated firewalls (on both Win10wrk and virtuals), set admin privilegies... can you help me with connect from win10? Thanks.

Perhaps you should clarify what "connect" means to you?

Are you saying that you now have a Win10 host? Or are you saying the VMs have an Ubunto host, but you are trying to RDP from a Win10 PC?

Seems to be similar to viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69220
Looks like Windows 10 introduced a new RDP protocol version which isn't (yet) supported by VRDP.

To Martin: Thanks, it's same problem
To mpak: I thing It's in the first sufficiently explained.

Another test:
Workstation with Win7. I connected to virtuals on Ubuntu server with WinXP virtuals (via RDP).
Upgrade from Win7 to Win10. Everything OK, all icons on desktop, shares and programs fully functional, but connect to virtuals not.

? Your first two posts didn't even mention RDP - I had to guess, and btw you still have not confirmed the guess. If that is sufficiently explained then I'm a monkeys uncle.

"Connect" could have meant RS232, FTP, HTML, and probably other things. And that's just assuming a vaguely sensible use of the word, which I don't take for granted around here.
