Hello all,
I am running Fedora 21 and Virtual Box 5. I created a new VM and installed Windows 10 Enterprise (64 bit) on it. The guest O/S has been activated and I installed onto it a number of applications, including Visual Studio and the M/S office.
A snapshot of the system was taken just before attempting to install the Virtual Box extensions.
The Windows guest became unresponsive a few seconds after the start of the extensions installation.
I restored the virtual machine to the state just before attempting to install the extensions and repeated the exercise. The guest became non responsive; I let the guest alone for a few hours and nothing happened.
Has anyone seen this behavior? If so, and if you have a work around, can you post the solution?
TIA.
Regards,
Can't install extensions on Win 10 (Enterprise) guest

Re: Can't install extensions on Win 10 (Enterprise) guest

Upon looking at the logs (and observing the attempted installation of the extensions), things go sour when the WDDM monitor driver is being installed ..
