Not working neither version 4.3.30 nor 5

I work on CentOS 6, using the Virtual Box repository. I updated to version 4.3.30 and when installing the downloaded extension pack for that version (4.3.30-101610), I get a NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) error.

If I uninstall that version and install the new release 5.0, when I try to install the extension pack 5.0.0-101573, I get that same error NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005).

What can I do? Now I'm stuck.

Your question is about installing the extension pack? Please choose better topic names!

I'm not sure if "I work on CentOS" means that CentOS is your host or your guest. Posting the Q in "Linux Guests" is what gives me pause.

On Windows hosts the answer would be to uninstall the software again, make sure the "Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox" folder is empty (no ExtensionPacks folder), then install VirtualBox again. Make sure you download the extension pack to an accessible folder before installing it (not any VirtualBox folder).
