Help with understanding USB connecting [Resolved]

Post by Sandersson »

Hi.
I hope for your help.
I am new to the thrilling world of Virtualization, and need some help.
I am running a Linuxversion called Netrunner 15. I is based on Kubuntu.
I have used the Oracle VM VirtualBox to set up a Windows 7 machine.
All fine so far.
I am using VirtualBox 4.3.18.
I now have some file on my Windows that I want to take to a Kingston USB stick. (Alternative to my Netrunner15 host machine).
I therefor have installed something called Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack 4.3.26.
I am now able to choose Settings->USB->enable the USB 2.0 (EHCI).
But still nothing happens in my Windows.
I have tried to add a blank filter, but this do not help.

What do I do from here?

I thank you for your help.

Best regards
Sandersson.

In a host terminal run this:

Code: Select all

sudo usermod -aG vboxusers <your username>
Replace <your username> with the name you use to log in. Type your user password when prompted.

Be sure to log off and back in to finalize the change in permissions

Edit your first post and type [Resolved} in the front of the title.
