Windows guests fail (GURU Meditation) on Ubuntu host
Windows guests fail (GURU Meditation) on Ubuntu host
I have a Windows 7 guest that freezes after sitting idle. I have tried VBoxManage modifyvm <vmname> --longmode off with no luck. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

According to Intel your CPU has the ability to use VT-x.

Make sure that it is enabled in your BIOS and re-enable longmode. Also make sure that the guest power management is not set to put the guest to sleep, or better yet disable the power settings and let the host deal with it.

I made both changes and I will see if that fixes it.

Enabling VT-x seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks.
