Problem on scanning

Host Ubuntu 12.04 desktop 64bit
VM Windows 7 64bit

Scanner Driver and EPSON Scan Utility v3.04A
03/16/10 18.9 MB epson13829.exe

has been installed.

I encountered similar problem several years before;
Can't find scanner

Add "EPSON Scanner [0110] as "USB Device Filters" - already added
"Enable USB 2.0 (EHCI) Controller" - not checked

But this time I couldn't solve the problem.

Non of the suggestions mentioned can help me out.

The scanner is working on host running "simple-scan" and "xsane"

Please help.
