Automatically disable or remove shared clipboard

Post by Uckel »

Hello, I'm running VirtualBox 4.3.10 r93012 on a Linux Mint 16 (64-Bit) Host. I have a Guest with the same distribution (Mint 16 - 64-Bit) and the Guest additions installed. Everything is working fine so far but I want to completely remove the clipboard or disable it permanently with no way to re-enable it. I know that there is the simple option to disable it within the Guest settings or the toolbar while the machine is on but I have to get rid of it permanently. It may sound awkward but I would be very thankful if someone has a solution. My guess is that there must be a service for the shared clipboard which I could either disable permanently with a script or just remove. If I could remove the Drag and Drop function too that would be even better. But it is not necessary. I can not uninstall Guest additions since I need USB support.

I appreciate any kind of help.

EDIT: I found a solution. Killing the VBoxClient process on Guest worked fine and USB support is still on.
