I was given two surplus severs, they have 16-32GB RAM but no HDDs. So far I've been using a Linux Live CD, which works great for web browsing etc, it is fast and when I mess up the install I just reboot.
I want to run some Windows programs as well, and wanted to know if it would be possible to run VirtualBox from a Live CD OS? Does anyone know of any Linux live CDs that come with Virtual Box preinstalled?
Thanks!

Re: 64-bit Live CD with VirtualBox installed?
Running VirtualBox itself from a LiveCD is no problem at all. But you need some writable space for the VirtualBox configuration. You can even write the virtual disk image on a read-only medium if you configure the image as 'immutable' (see user manual). In that case all changes are lost once you power-off the VM. If you want to keep the data after power-off, this is also possible but keep in mind that in the worst case the disk image for the write changes has the same size as the read-only disk image.
