Error Enable 3D acceleration in Virtualbox.

Post by Malus »

Hi,

I have installed the version 4.3 of virtualbox and if I want to Enable 3D acceleration to the VMs tells me the following:

Note :In the version 4.2.18 this did not happen, working properly ..It's a bug from the version 4.3 ?
"The virtual machine is configured to use hardware graphics acceleration . However, the host system does not currently provide this so that you can not boot the virtual machine."
My graphics card is ATI/AMD Integrated ATI Raedon 3300 and I have installed the proprietary drivers 13.1 Legacy. My OS is Linux Mint 13 based on Ubuntu 12.04.1.

kernel: 3.2.0-51-generic
X.Org X Server 1.11.3

I think I have correctly installed the proprietary drivers and I have also installed Video Hardware Acceleration...

Anyone know what is happening ... I've been almost a week trying to solve the problem... :(

Best Regards ...

I have the same error with a similar configuration, ATi Radeon HD 4250, xubuntu 13.04. In 4.20 3d acceleration worked like a charm.
