Windows 8.1 Preview on VirtualBox 4.2.16

Hello All,
I have been trying to create a "Windows 8.1 preview" virtual machine in my Ubuntu host using Virtual Box (4.2.16 r86992) but have been unsuccessful so far.

I first tried installing Win8.1 x64 but realized that my processor (Pentium B960 2.2GHz) does not support VT-x, so x64 guests are out. I downloaded Win8.1 32-bit preview ISO but this too throws an error - "Your PC needs to restart. Error 0x000000A" before aborting.

My VBox.log is attached. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Satish

Normally you always need VT-x for any Windows 8 OS and later. But I could be wrong here.
As Windows 8.1 is not a supported OS at this time, please see the dedicated topic to 8.1, and this topic.
VirtualBox VM 4.2.16 r86992 linux.amd64 (Jul 4 2013 15:15:20) release log
00:00:00.373383 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack (Version: 4.2.14 r86644; VRDE Module: VBoxVRDP)
Also to avoid possible future problems, make sure you upgrade your Extension Pack to the matching version of Virtualbox.

Last I heard, all versions of Windows 8 require VT-x to run as a VM in VirtualBox. It isn't just 64bit versions.

Thanks guys, i guess there's no way out here since my processor doesn't support VT-x.
