I have etheape running fine on opensuse12.3 with a nat'd network adapter but the problem is that it only collects packets from the 10.0.2.... net that vb configures so i am only seeing traffic tx/rx from my machine that is running the vb opensuse vm. I need to listen on the real network to collect traffic. I am running vb on xp in nat mode. what can i do?

AFAIK this is not possible from a VM. but try in Bridged mode with Promiscuous mode set to All, you never know.
