same here, been using it for years on linux hosts (fedora, centos, ubuntu, debian....) since about vbox2 and i don't think i've had a single problem, certainly no disk corruption or crashes, and i've used some pretty odd guests like junos, macosx and os/2.

the nearest i've come to a problem was a while back when smp first got added it actually made things slower (haven't tried since) and gnome on solaris kept crashing when resizing the window with guest additions, but that ended up being a solaris bug.
