I need DirectX for such applications as Amazon's videos which require Windows. Starting Windows 7 and holding down F8, the boot menu does not offer Safe boot as an option. How can I get into the safe mode so I can install DirectX support?
Thanks
Paul

Got a Safe Mode by running msconfig. But when I go to Devices - Install Guest Additions nothing happens. Is this because I already installed Guest Additions without DirectX? Do I need to uninstall Guest Additions?
Thanks, Paul

Installing the ISO manually I got DirectX only now when I go to run Amazon Unbox Windows crashes. Guess it's time to surrender :(

3D in a guest is not comparable to native access.

It may work or not. If not, then not.
