How to change vdi to another disk

Post by mcp »

I am running Xandros Pro 4.1 and each time I try to create a vdi file on another partition or change the default loactions and then create a vdi file I get the following error:

(VERR_ACCESS_DENIED).

I cannot find any explanation of this message or solution. I need to do this to keep my vm's safe. I have also tried to move an existing vdi file and this breaks it and is no longer accessible. If VBox is to be useful it will need do be able to do this so that vm's can be backed-up up or moved.

I find it ironic that VBox has a dialog box to enable you to select a new default location but then deny it access or allow it to work.

Can someone please offer a solution?
