Illustrious friends.
I've installed winXP in virtualbox (Ubuntu 9.10 host). I need to run a pinnacle PCI card. Is it possible? :?:

Thank you very much,
Your friend, Stefano

You can't use any pci-card in vbox, because vbox does not support pci-passthrough.

Hi,

I have a similar request.

I would like to control the hardware through a PCI-VME bridge. The guest operating system of VirtualBox will be a variant of Red Hat Linux named Scientific Linux 4. Is it possible to extend the VirtualBox in order to use the PCI card on the host PC?

In some forum I have read that there is a Pluggable Device Manager architecture that could help on that task. I wonder where can I found documentation/examples about that.

Thank you very much!
marc

Maybe if you write a patch for vbox, that it has pci-passthrough.
