How to config NAT to make 2 guest OS see each other?

Post by shogun1234 »

Is it possible to configure NAT to make guest OS installed on virtual box to see each other?

The network setting on my guest OS is

address 10.0.2.10
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.0.2.2

address 10.0.2.10
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 10.0.2.2

both of them are Debian 4.0 etch.

I've checked global setting and each guest system. There is no option for user to setup configuration in order to create a subnetwork in which 2 guest system can see each other.

What should I do in order to make it?

My host OS: kernel 2.6.16. Debian 3.x testing. VirtualBox 1.3.8

Thank you very much.

This is a great tip, I used to have to tunel this through sockets on the host computer. I am still have to try it myself, I hope things go as smoothly as mentioned here.

Upgrade to VirtualBox 1.4.0 and this is automatic under the network tab (I have not taken it for a spin yet though)
If is a virtual machine, is it still broken ?
