Failed to create the virtual box com object the application will no terminate.
callee RC: 0x80004004

I have tried to get virtualbox installed serverel times now and to no luck.
I am running KIWI Ubuntu 7.04 Gnome (Happens with Kubuntu too.)
I somtimes am able to install a virtual machine (KIWI Ubuntu 7.04) but soon after
I get the same error meassage as before. I installed virtual box from the Automatix installer and Gnome says that I am part of the Vboxusers group.

NOTE: KIWI Ubuntu is is really the same thing as the orignal ubuntu but the difference is that it comes with win32 codecs and mounts NTFS, with Romanian Lang pak support.

Hi,

check these:
kernel module ? Is it loaded successfully ?
VBoxSVC running ? Is the same version as other tool you use to start VM (VirtualBox or VBoxSDL) ?
