hi there,
im running vbox 2.2.2 on kubuntu 9.04 64. the problem is that i cant mount iso-images with the image manager. the open-dialogue window doesnt show me the isofiles, even though they exist.
the odd point is, that the filter in this dialogue shows me two dots like ".." instead of an iso option. looks like this:
Image

i can delete this dots or even type something else in this filter, but it still doesnt work. mounting hd- or floppy-images works with no problems. its just a problem with iso files. the iso files are okay, because i can mount them with my host via loop command.
anyone has an idea? thank you.

How and where are you mounting the iso files?
Are these just files that are stored in a folder that is on the guest?
Try telling your file browser to show all files. (usually under view)

im trying to mount the files from host folders with the manager i start with ctrl-d. the view-options i have are for short or detailed view only. so i guess its possibly an os-filebrowser issue which i cant fix.

but i just found out an solution which works for me. i have to type the complete path of the iso-file manually in the dialogue-window and then i can mount the iso's and boot them in virtualbox. as long as it works this way for me now its okay for me.

but its still a strange problem, since i didnt find anyone else on google with the same issue.
