Upgraded to 1.5, now cannot access VDI

Post by cdesigner »

Just upgraded to version 1.5
When opening up I get this error:

Hard disk '/home/mike/.VirtualBox/VDI/WinXP SP2.vdi' with UUID {a0c54bd1-bd47-4deb-a0aa-1ceb3da6a565} is already attached to a machine with UUID {cdb291f4-2dcc-4b9d-0f9b-4960b166de29} (see '/home/mike/.VirtualBox/Machines/WinXP SP2/WinXP SP2.xml').

Result Code:
0x80004005
Component:
Machine
Interface:
IMachine {31f7169f-14da-4c55-8cb6-a3665186e35e}

How do I fix this and I don't want to re-install windows...

Ooh Yes!
I have heard about similar error messages. It has something to do with a saved machine state (not powered off) or some trouble with snapshots. It's worth the trouble to look at bugtracker.

Checked bug tracker.
Most problems seemed to be a path mismatch, but I checked all the XML files and all my paths are correct.

Looks like I may have to re-install guest.......
