request: seamless mode - integration into (linux) taskbar

Post by kernelOfTruth »

Hi :)

I have a request:

could you please add functionality to the seamless mode like with parallels desktop "coherent mode":

that all running windows from the host (e.g. windows) are "split up" and shown each in "task bar" (e.g. gnome-panel / kicker)

at the moment everything runs under the virtual machine's name

is it also possible to disable windows start menu at option ? ;)

I hope you understand what I mean

Many many thanks in advance and keep up your excellent work :)

Similar good things you can found in VMWare fusion. In rootless window mode you dont have START button, and this is very good. Because better have native menu system.

That's the next logical step and we plan to enhance seamless windows to include this feature (among others).

This new seamless mode is fantastic. It's a real productive improvement for me being able to have VS 2005 "integrated" to my gnome desktop and copy and pasting. Any further improvements to this like mentioned above are an added bonus.
