I'm sorry but i've looked everywhere and can't seem to find the answer. When i try to copy files from a cd or a dvd to my vbox desktop it says that the file origin can't be read. And it's the same with all the files that i try to copy. But if i do the same thing from a usb i does copy.
I'm mounting my host's cd/dvd device to the vbox and I can see the file and read them, but not copying them. What can i do? Some files are too big for my usb memory
How to copy files from a cd to Vbox hard drive?

You could share your CD drive using Shared Folders and transfer that way.

share cd
I tried to share my cd just as I share my "real" folder in ubuntu with the Vbox, but when I tried to see it in the Vbox network it wasn't there.
I think that the error that occurs is odd, there must be something wrong when mounting the cd or dvd. Anyone else has the same problem?

You can also create an ISO from the CD/DVD and mount it like that. sudo dd if=/dev/scd0 of=/path/to/iso
