[Solved] First time problem : "Virtual Machine failed to boot"

Post by Paul_Lauren »

Dear users,
i've installed many Os on Virtualbox : Windows 11, Windows Server, Ubuntu, Windows 10 etc. Never had any problem as i do the same protocol each time :
New machine, chose adequats requirements etc. Then before lauching my VM, i mount my ISO on a IDE controller.
Then i start the Vm and OS should install without problem (if i configure the right boot order). Ok.
This time it's different. I tried to install Debian 11 and then follow the protocol above but each time i have this error message.
See captures.

I don't understand. The ISO is ok. The ISO path aswell.
I use Virtualbox 7.0.8 r156879

Thanks for your help

Problem solved in my case : i have to choose debian-11.7.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso INSTEAD of debian-11.7.0-arm64-DVD-1.iso.

Thanks for reporting your experience! Yes, ARM OS's are not compatible with Virtualbox. ARM vs AMD throws folks off pretty easily.
