I am a Linux user trying FreeBSD as a guest. I installed Virtualbox on it and when I try to create a new VM in it (guest inside the guest), only 32-bit options are available.

Edit: it's 64-bit FreeBSD in a 64-bit Debian host.
The FreeBSD community has become remarkably friendlier since my previous experience with them, but this topic is rubbing them the wrong way. I am even beginning to receive some hostility.
Does someone here have any idea of why this is happening? Is there a solution?

FAQ: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests.
Why have you posted in "Other Hosts"? It appears you have a Linux host? Topic moved to "Linux Hosts".

Sorry about that.mpack wrote:FAQ: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests.

I am running an older version of Virtualbox and the "Enable VT-x/AMD-v" option was disabled/greyed out. So I almost gave up on that.
Then I enabled it via command line and it worked. I thought that strange, but it works and now the guest of the guest can creat 64-bit virtual machines.
So it's fixed.
Thank you.
