Before I used Linux Mint, and everything worked perfectly. After a while, a VM with Windows 10 that I always used just stopped working, I thought it was a problem with some system update or Vbox itself.
The problem is that I recently formatted my computer and migrated to PopOs 22.04, installed everything I needed including the latest version of Vbox with the Extension Pack. I created a new VM to install W10, and it still has the same problem I started having when using Linux Mint.
I create a new VM with the W10 iso, when I click Start, it doesn't start and closes. The same happens if I create a VM with a Linux Mint iso.
Can anyone help me resolve this?

Another hypervisor (e.g. QEMU/KVM) is already running on the host, and VirtualBox cannot run a VM at the same time.

I have Docker installed as I use Laradock for development. How do I make VBox work together with it?fth0 wrote:Another hypervisor (e.g. QEMU/KVM) is already running on the host, and VirtualBox cannot run a VM at the same time.

While Docker Engine does not use QEMU/KVM, Docker Desktop does. In consequence, you cannot run Docker Desktop and a VirtualBox VM at the same time.
Re: I can't start machines (Windows and Linux) on a fresh installation.
This really was the problem. The bad thing is that I need to close Docker Desktop completely for VB to work, just closing the containers is not enough, not even pausing Docker Desktop. Not the best scenario, but it works. Thank you for your help.fth0 wrote:While Docker Engine does not use QEMU/KVM, Docker Desktop does.
