I just installed Windows 10 on my Ubuntu computer and everything works fine at first but after a few minutes the mouse just stops working in the Windows system. I say the mouse stops working and not the VM freezes because if there is an animation or something playing on the VM then it still runs even when the mouse stops moving and clicking.
If I power off the Windows VM or save the state, close the window and then reopen the Window it works again. I tried reinstalling and it happened on the old and new installations. Is there a setting I need to change or something or how can I fix this issue?

Try using the PS/2 mouse instead of the USB Tablet pointer.

How do I do that? I'm not using a USB Tablet pointer that I know of.scottgus1 wrote:Try using the PS/2 mouse instead of the USB Tablet pointer.

We're talking about your virtual pointing device, not your actual one.
Go to VM settings | System | Motherboard tab | Pointing Device.
