Hi all,
Just add a new MSI GeForce GTX 1650 Super Gaming X graphic card
Ubuntu 22.04 VM can be started but after playing a while abort automatically. Please advise how to fix the problem?
If it is the driver problem please advise where can I download the correct driver and how to install it.
Thanks in advance.
Regards

Win 10 VM won't abort but the max resolution I can set 1600x1200
This is a 4K display

Re: VM abort automatically
If you're using 3D acceleration in the VM, then the host video drivers are being relied on to make 3D accelerate happen. How to diagnose is only my guess: Disable 3D acceleration in the VM, boot it, see if it aborts. If it does not, then the video card drivers may be at fault, or a reinstall of Virtualbox may be needed to build with new kernel/something-else-Linuxy.

Re: VM abort automatically
Surely you have been here long enough not to require prompting to provide a VM log?

Settings -> Display -> Screen
(uncheck) Enable 3D Acceleration

Odd video activity is expected with 3D acceleration disabled.scottgus1 wrote:see if it aborts.
This topic is about a VM aborting. Does it still abort?
And chant with me, a la Mpack's request:
Logs, logs, logs, logs.....

Per One issue per thread, this topic is answered. Please start a new topic about the screen size problem. Zipped logs are strongly encouraged, per the usual process you've used dozens of times.satimis wrote:Windows 10 VM - no abort from the beginning, only unable to set 4K resolution
